The calculators

Everything you type into a calculator stays in your browser. There is no account, no saved estimate, and no request to our servers or to our analytics carrying your measurements. Close the tab and the numbers are gone.

Analytics: Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4

We use Google Tag Manager, a Google service that loads other scripts on the page, to run Google Analytics 4. Analytics tells us which pages and calculators are used, where visitors arrive from, and whether a page is working, so we know what to fix and what to write next.

When a page loads, Google Analytics collects:

• the pages you view, how long you stay, and the links you click;
• the page that referred you, such as a search engine;
• your device type, browser, operating system, screen size, and language;
• an approximate location (country and city) derived from your IP address.

Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. It uses the address only to estimate the location and then discards it. We do not send Google your name, email address, or anything you type into a calculator or the contact form, and we do not use Analytics for advertising.

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<ID>, that tell one visit from another. They last up to two years. Google Tag Manager itself sets no cookies. Google processes this data on our behalf, including on servers outside your country. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

To opt out, block or delete cookies for this site in your browser settings, use a content blocker, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The calculators work the same either way.

Other cookies

Apart from the Analytics cookies above, the site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising scripts.

The contact form

When you send a message through the contact form, your name, email address, and message are delivered to our inbox by a third-party form service (Web3Forms). The service processes the submission to deliver it and is subject to its own privacy policy. We keep messages for as long as needed to answer them and to act on any correction they contain, then delete them. We do not add you to a list.

Hosting

The site is a set of static files served from a hosting provider's network. Like any web server, the provider records standard request logs (IP address, requested page, browser type, time) for security and operations. We do not combine those logs with anything else.

Your rights

Analytics data is held in our Google Analytics account and is not linked to your name or email. Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete a message you sent, at hello@wallpaper-calculator.com. We answer within a month.

Children

The site is a measuring tool for a household purchase and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
